I became a Certified Girls Club Teacher to provide a safe space to help girls understand and appreciate their bodies, learn about changes during puberty, and help them understand how to protect and keep their body safe. Join the Club for a class that covers it all!
So, what is Girls Club?
Girls Club is a 5 week series of classes for girls ages 8-12. It allows girls to have a safe space to create community with other girls to learn about themselves, their bodies, the function of their bodies, build self-love and self-esteem, and gain a better understanding and pride in what it looks like to be a girl.
Class 1: Learn about female anatomy, location, and function (breast, nipple, areola, milk duct)
Class 2: Learn about female and male reproductive organs, location, and function (vulva, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, eggs, labia, urethra, vaginal opening, clitoris, pubic mound; penis, scrotum, urethra, testicles)
Class 3: Learn about body changes and menstruation (hormone release, growth spurt, breast buds, new hair growth, body odor, active oil glands, vaginal discharge; what happens in the body to cause menstruation and body changes, as well as tips for managing and pad application, removal, and disposal demonstration
Class 4: Learn about body safety and safe touch (what is safe touch? what is unsafe touch? what to do if you ever experience unsafe touch
